Low Light

It took me a few years to realise that photography is *all about* light. I'd spent years chasing colour in my images - mainly from explosive sunrises and sunsets - but found my images and motivation fell flat. It then struck me that rather than chasing colour I should really be chasing light, this revelation really turned my photographic journey around and I transitioned from a "postcard" photographer into more artistic ventures. Though the images in this collection were taken across many years - some back to 2016 - it's really in the start of 2024 that it registered with me that most of my more enjoyable images are when the light was low, so I'd say this genre is probably the strongest images on my site.
